I WANT TO…

Bar chart showing survey results, with categories: becoming a strong social dancer, becoming a strong dance performer, meeting a significant other through dance, winning a dance competition, becoming a dance instructor. The bars are color-coded in pink and gray, with pink indicating the most preferred responses. The numerical values and ratings are displayed in speech bubble labels on each bar.

No. of Respondents = 25

On average, Omni community members desire to improve their social dancing (4.9) significantly above becoming a strong performer (2.9), meeting a significant other (2.3), winning competitions (1.8), or learning to instruct (2.2).

This is no surprise given Omni's core focus on progressive classes in social dance and validates Omni's desire to provide best-in-class social dance education.

Survey results showing positive feedback about Omni dance studio, with ratings for friendship, support, safety, and growth as a dancer, all above 4.2.

No. of Respondents = 25

On average, Omni community members feel a strong sense of safety (4.7) and support from Omni (4.5).

Additionally, many members report having a friend at Omni (4.2).

OmniZouk at a Glance

Bar chart showing survey results with four statements about valued activities. The first statement, 'I would recommend a friend to OmniZouk,' has a score of 9.1. The second, 'The progressive class instruction is valuable to me,' scored 8.1. The third, 'Practica is valuable to me,' scored 8.5. The fourth, 'Play Exercise is valuable to me,' scored 4.1.

No. of Respondents = 22

There is a high likelihood (9.1 / 10) that OmniZouk students would recommend the OmniZouk program to friends.

The progressive class model (8.1 / 10) and Practica (8.5 / 10) are cited as being high value components of the OmniZouk program.

At the same time, community members qualitatively suggest that some Tracks could be made more challenging and that they would like it if more advanced dancers danced with them during Practica. As a result, the Omni team is working on fine-tuning the Track model and assessment process so that students are better matched with the program's Levels and that students are encouraged to dance across Levels.

The Play exercise on the other hand is cited as being low value. Community members perceive that there is often not enough time to create their choreography and that they do not like having to perform in a class meant for social dance. As a result, the Omni team is undergoing a redesign of the Play exercise.

OmniSalsa at a Glance

Bar chart comparing overall health scores, showing all three categories with scores of 9.2.

No. of Respondents = 5

No. of Respondents = 16

The intensive nature of the workshops (8.7 / 10) and space for practice and celebration at the socials (8.6 / 10) are seen as large contributors to the positive perception of the program.

NOTE: OmniSwing and Salsa & Guac were not surveyed in this iteration due to the recency of their inception.
