Omni 3.0 Is Here — Help Shape Our Next Chapter (Feedback Open Until June 25)
Dear Omni community,
We’re entering the most important evolution in Omni’s journey to date.
Over the past few months, we’ve been reflecting deeply on what’s working, what’s not, and what it will truly take for Omni to be a thriving, community-powered home for social dance. What’s emerged is a clear, values-aligned blueprint for our future—Omni 3.0.
This isn’t just a new schedule or curriculum update. It’s a fundamental shift in how we operate, how we fund our mission, and how we serve our community. But before we finalize anything, we want to hear from you.
What’s Changing?
Here’s the big picture:
We’re moving to a new space (and saying goodbye to our full-time lease)
We’re simplifying and strengthening our programs—fewer offerings, deeper curriculum, clearer paths for progression
We’re retiring programs that no longer serve the community well
We’re redesigning our advancement and pricing systems
We’re becoming fiscally sponsored so we can raise donations like a nonprofit
We’re launching a community-powered fundraising campaign in July
Each of these shifts is rooted in a single purpose: to create a more sustainable, inspiring, and student-centered Omni. We’ve prepared two short documents to walk you through the full vision and what’s ahead. Each one includes a Loom video from me (Imaan, CEO) explaining the details and the reasons behind the changes.
Two Briefs, Two Loom Videos, One Big Conversation
1. Omni 3.0: The Blueprint
Covers:
Our full transition timeline (changes roll out July–September)
The two venue options we’re considering (Artthaus E2 or The Oak Grove)
Curriculum and schedule redesign
Badge-based progression system
Which programs are being retired (e.g. OmniTango, Sunset Swing)
The new structure for class types: Community, Fundamentals, Variations, and Mastery
Brief
Loom Overview
2. A Community-Funded Omni: Fiscal Sponsorship + Fundraising
Covers:
Why we’re becoming fiscally sponsored (and what that means)
Our $100K fundraising goal and the milestones it unlocks (from a pizza party to a permanent new home)
Donor tiers and impact stories (e.g. what $89, $1,400, or $10,700 can accomplish)
How donations will support access, instructor pay, youth programs, and more
Give Feedback by June 25
We’re still finalizing key pieces—and your voice matters. Please take a moment to:
Read or watch the two briefs
Share your thoughts as a comment in the respective brief, via our feedback form, or by scheduling time with Imaan
We’ll be making final decisions by early July, and we want this next chapter to reflect the needs and hopes of everyone who’s helped us come this far.
Thank You
Omni 3.0 is about rebuilding with clarity—letting go of what no longer serves us, and rooting deeper into what does. This is a turning point for our school, and we couldn’t be more grateful to walk it with you.
With love and purpose,
Imaan + the Omni Team
